My Yoga Yogi

My Yoga Yogi
teaches simplicity

Bryan Kest - Yoga Instructor

to not be afraid to be me

"Any Ignoramus can dig himself deeper," says he.
Breath deep
let troubles bounce off
in the present is where life's at
wanta wear a peace hat
feel a smile radiate from my soul
warm the world
bubble a little laughter
I want to travel the earth
be part of life's process
breathe deep, breathe deeper

Yesterday,
my yoga yogi
taught me reverence...
I looked up from my blue mat,

he said,
"namaste"
bowed his head,
held chin to chest,
gave thanks

One deep inhale
and an exhale
true appreciation
grace...

Poem written a few years ago while practicing with my first yoga instructor Bryan Kest at his power yoga studio in Santa Monica. His classes are amazing! I highly recommend them to anyone seeking boldness.

P.S. Namaste means:

"I honor the place in you in which the entire universe dwells.
I honor the place in you which is of love, of truth, of light, and of peace.
When you are in that place in you, and I am in that place in me, we are one."
